Xiaomi is preparing its own AI, and it is a big one
The market had settled around a few dominant players. Xiaomi just entered with MiMo-V2-Pro, built for code-heavy autonomous workflows.
This is not a simple conversational assistant. Xiaomi is positioning a model engineered for production workloads: coding tasks, orchestration and long-context operational execution.
Model anatomy
MiMo-V2-Pro is presented with a massive parameter scale and sparse MoE architecture, aiming to keep high capability while controlling inference costs. A long context window further supports complex multi-step tasks.
The real disruption: economics
The core shock is pricing. Xiaomi is attacking cost per token, especially output-side pricing, which is where autonomous coding agents consume most of the budget. Lower hallucination rates plus lower cost can heavily alter vendor decisions.
Softuo doctrine: no brand loyalty, only performance
At Softuo, we benchmark tools under real pressure. If a model reduces cost, improves throughput or increases reliability in production, we integrate it. We optimize for ROI and execution, not logos.
